Worry Eaters are cute, plush toys that provide an innovative solution to help your child deal with fears, troubles and woes.
Recommended by psychologists and teachers, these comforting bedtime toys act as a 'waste bin' for all your child's worries from the day.
Children simply write or draw their troubles on a piece of paper and feed them into the zipped mouth of their Worry Eater. This is especially good for non-verbal children who can use drawing or PECS symbols or anything that can be fit into the tummy and be zipped away.
As an added bonus (and according to age, stage and preference) the parent or carer can then tiptoe in like the tooth fairy and retrieve the note, symbol or drawing in the Worry Eater's tummy, and gain a unique insight into what is on their mind.
This means carers can plan well how to approach, talk to the child about their issues, and help them come up with solutions and self-calming techniques.
